Week 9
In this week, I am going to improve the modern-western style and do the typological study 2
" 西 " (Xi) means west in English. In China, it represents the gold element in the five-element and its representative color is white or gold.
In case study 3 , by analyzing the model , the characteristics of modern western style can be summarized in the following points ：
The modern western interior design is pleasingly simple
Pay more attention to functionality and practicability
Good at using the modern materials and modern furniture , that can help the whole design becomes more attractive
Compare to the traditional Chinese courtyard, western designers always pay more attention to the practicability of the courtyard. The courtyard is generally designed relatively empty, and that should satisfy western people's living habits. The western-style courtyard shows very good functionality, it can provide a place for kids to play sports, such as football or basketball, and it also can give house owners a place to park the car.
I have lived in Australia for over 8 years and in Australia, open kitchens and living areas are very common. Reduced the use of walls that can make a small space looks bigger. The space also used floor-to-ceiling windows, and this design can help the ground floor room to have better lighting, and even at the night, the room still can have a good view.
When I first time been to Versailles banquet hall, my first feeling was bright. The whole hall used lots of windows. So I have added big windows to the party room. Bright space can make guests feel help and enjoy the party.
Typological Study 2
The purpose of the typological study is to discover the characteristics of different styles , and explore a new typology can meet contemporary Chinese people's living standards.So in the next week,I will start to focus on the new typology
In week 10, I am going to create my Cv, business card, and my brand logo. Then I will do the plan for my online exhibition
