Introduction

The topic of this project is “The evolution of Chinese interior design from 1900 to 2020”. With development of globalization, interculture communication is becoming very common. There are more and more western culture and elements appear in my daily life. Interior design is a part of culture, traditional Chinese interior design has also suffered a strong impact by western interior design, it is gradually being replaced by western interior design. As a Chinese interior designer, I will research about what happened in this 120 years and why traditional Chinese interior design is gradually forgotten. I hope I can use this project to make more people from different countries understand and like Chinese traditional interior design, and also, I hope Chinese people can value our traditional culture.
