After summarized the surveys data and did the plan for the final project, I am going to focus on analyzing the information from the interviews.

ZhiNan Xu is a doctor student from Fu dan university. His major is urban planning and environmental science. He suggested Chinese interior design should develop on the basis of traditional Chinese culture because traditional elements are the most significant characteristics of Chinese interior design. He felt optimistic about the development of traditional Chinese interior design in the future, but he was also worried about lots of Chinese young people are more effective by modern western culture, even these young people’s parents think their kids need to follow western things because the whole world is impacted by globalization. He hoped this sense can be prevented, and more Chinese young people can support Chinese traditional interior design and accept traditional Chinese elements.

Dr. Yang also had the same opinion as Xu Zhi Nan, he thought the traditional Chinese elements is the most important elements in Chinese interior design, the traditional elements not only can be used in traditional Chinese style but also can be added into ‘new Chinese’ style, traditional culture and traditional elements are the symbols of the Chinese interior design.
In the next week, I am going to plan my final project again and do the literature review .
